Job Overview

Prestige Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for a direct hire opportunity in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

This is a 2nd shift opportunity with outstanding benefits, including a base salary of $68k-70k/yr with bonus, and OT paid as straight time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Implement and maintain 5S, Help Chain, Standardized Work, Kaizen, Problem Solving, Change Over Reduction, Lean Material Systems, and Level Production initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure Safety and Quality: Oversee environmental, health, and safety issues in assigned departments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and Develop Team Members: Schedule, direct, train, and motivate employees within assigned areas, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Optimize Production Efficiency: Maintain acceptable levels of quality, production efficiency, and scrap reduction, analyzing data to inform process improvements.
  • Manage Departmental Records: Compile and maintain all required department records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Evaluate and Improve Performance: Evaluate and maintain employee performance levels, providing coaching and development opportunities to enhance skills and productivity.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve production and equipment problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain continuous improvement.
  • Communicate and Enforce Policies: Ensure good communication and cooperation within departments and with other departments, enforcing company policies and rules.
  • Support Quality Initiatives: Participate in IATF16949 and ISO14001 initiatives, contributing to the achievement of safety, quality, and environmental objectives.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with two (2) years of supervision experience in a manufacturing area preferred. A BS Degree in leadership and supervision is desired.
  • Must be open to any shift.
  • Excellent written, listening, and oral communication skills are required.
  • Ability to calculate figures and perform mathematical problems to assess labor based on production schedules.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to resolve employee issues, possessing conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
