**1st Shift Custodian****Job Description:**Under general supervision:+ Keep commercial and institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition.+ Maintains an adequate inventory of hygiene/cleaning supplies to meet routine requirements.+ Operate floor cleaning and other cleaning equipment.+ Remove trash, sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, clean, wash, wax and buff offices, hallways, storage/warehouse areas, restrooms, windows, kitchen areas and associated spaces.+ Sweep, mop, clean and/or scrub walls, passenger elevators, glass, fixtures and stairs.+ Dust woodwork and furniture.+ Maintain and re-supply restrooms and perform routine restroom checks.+ Remove and empty trash and garbage containers and deliver collected refuse to the loading dock.+ Shampoo carpets, strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.+ Clean and sweep shop areas.+ Clean snow and debris from building entrances.+ Comprehend written and oral instructions.+ Monitor building for maintenance/safety/security issues and report any violations to immediate Supervisor or Management.+ Adhere to safety practices and procedures.+ Perform other job-related duties as required.**Job Type:**This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 120 Day(s).Foot in the door with a reputable government contractor.
