Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an opportunity in Orlando, FL for a Systems Engineer in our Specialty Engineering group. You can help us take on the world's most important and complex challenges by providing solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. In this important role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals and interact with outside customers.

THE WORK
In this role, you will:.
Perform technical planning and evaluation of new product designs for logistics impact on Aviation Training Simulators and automated test equipment
Examine components from engineering drawings, CAD files, and bills of material to assess impact on logistics engineering requirements at various phases of the system lifecycle
Perform analyses at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Develop and implement architecture for integrating the results of logistics engineering into Model Based Systems Engineering framework and other Product Lifecycle Management tools.
Investigate logistics issues across the system lifecycle and interact across interdisciplinary engineering teams to determine severity and corrective actions
Review requirements within DoD contracts and ensure the logical and systematic conversion of requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Perform detailed trade studies to support Integrated Logistics Support requirements and interdisciplinary engineering functions throughout multiple lines of business.

WHO YOU ARE
The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking.
You've got numeric skills, the ability to visualize or otherwise understand complex systems, and you think optimization problems are fun. You can analyze 2nd or 3rd order effects. You might have completed coursework or have a degree in engineering, applied physics or some other similar discipline.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a STEM discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
5 years of experience in systems engineering, logistics engineering, specialty engineering or related field.
Must be able to obtain & maintain a Secret security clearance.
2 or more years experience with SysML or Model Based Systems Engineering
Desired Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Engineering or technical experience in a diversity of sophisticated electrical and mechanical systems
Active DoD clearance
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
