JOB SUMMARY:

Hotel Night Audit's responsibility is to organize, verify, and submit supporting documentations of the hotel's transactions from all revenue generating departments on a nightly basis. The details of those transactions are usually summarized into three categories: Rooms, Food & Beverage and Misc. Income.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Verify the accuracy of guest accounts by balancing departmental income.
•Performs food and beverage audit.
•Reconcile postings, charges and cash for the day.
•Transmit daily credit card batches (Rooms/F&B) to bank.
•Balances all summaries to On-Q.
•Balances all cashier postings for the day.
•Posts any incidental charges required.
•Prepares and distribute all required daily and summary reports.
•Make copies of F&B Squirrel Checks and file for Billing.
•Submit final Audit Packet to Accounting/File.
•Provide courteous and professional guest services when required.
•Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills/Abilities:
•Positive attitude, high level of integrity, enthusiasm, complete understanding of the English language.
•Ability to relate in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
•Ability to pay attention to detail.
•Ability to follow verbal and written directions efficiently.
•Computer literacy; knowledge of mathematical spreadsheets, i.e. Excel.
•Know 10-key by touch.
•Hotel Front Desk Experience.
•Flexibility with scheduling (weekend hours).
•Ability to work independently.
•Organization, prioritization, and follow-through skills proficient in accomplishing the task.

Education and Experience:
•High School Graduate or equivalent required
•Basic accounting education would be an asset.
•Preferably one year of Hotel Night Auditing experience at a full-service hotel.
•Office, Hotel front desk, or experience in working with the public in a customer service

industry or related business will be considered a plus.
