Position overview: MSK Engineers, a multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team of creative, collaborative, and community-oriented professionals. Responsibilities will include mixture of geotechnical engineering projects and tasks including analysis, design and remediation of dams, bridges, highways, buildings, and related structures. You will function in a project management and technical lead position on stand along geotechnical engineering projects or supporting a team effort on varied civil engineering projects. The successful candidate must have a strong work ethic and professional demeanor, thrive on hybrid collaboration, and be willing to perform both in an office environment and in the field.

About us: Headquartered in the historic train station in Bennington, VT, we support a hybrid work environment with multiple regional and satellite offices, including Burlington, VT and West Lebanon, NH. We specialize in site civil, environmental, geotechnical, permitting, regulatory assistance, transportation, survey, and construction administration, currently serving clients in VT, NY, CT, NH, MA and CO.

You’ll be provided with the chance to: technical scopes for proposals, project budgets, requests for proposals and qualifications proposal teams and presentations, and participate on multi-disciplinary, multi-geographic project teams technical leadership to engineering teams field work and/or leading field investigations various construction-phase inspections, testing and administration design reports and construction-level drawings projects and staff including leadership and oversight, risk management and mentoring design, engineering, and construction recommendations, adaptations, and modifications and evaluate project progress, budgets, and recommend changes

Here’s what you’ll need: Bachelor's and master’s degrees in civil engineering with a geotechnical engineering specialty (required) Engineer (PE) license 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with significant project management experience knowledge of state and federal regulations to relocate to NH or to frequently travel to project sites throughout the New England area geotechnical background including a strong knowledge of principles and practice in geotechnical and dam engineering, soil and rock mechanics, earthquake engineering and groundwater hydrology
