The Event Manager is responsible for developing and driving a strategic vision for Precor live and virtual events in North America. This role oversees all aspects of successful event execution at a range of event types, including in-person sales meetings, customer visits, and over 60 North America-based tradeshows. This role also liaises with global marketing teams on creating a consistent brand look and experience across regions. As the events leader, this person will oversee marketing efforts leading up to events, partnering with key stakeholders to drive awareness, and all efforts following, including lead distribution and event evaluation and recap. Responsibilities include budget management, logistics coordination, venue contracting, registrations, product ordering, give away ordering, food and beverage management, vendor management and all other event-related tasks. This position works with various other teams in marketing, engineering, inside and outside sales and product management. This position includes 15-20% travel time to events and site visits, and during busy periods will include more than 40 hours a week. Hours on weekends is expected only when onsite at an event on a weekend. Responsibilities Lead collaborative planning meetings to share information and orient other departments and 3rd party sales teams about upcoming events, onsite presence and expectations Coordinate the event calendar, collaborating with sales leadership to ensure participation in the most impactful events within the designated budget Utilize existing planning templates and documents and create new documentation and templates based on evolving event strategies Work with broader Marketing team to identify strategies for maximizing our investment, focusing on driving awareness for upcoming events and managing lead follow-up processes. Oversee the planning and execution of onsite customer visits Collect leads and engage with customers and staff onsite throughout live events Budget Management Using existing templates, create and manage budgets for all events Work with Manager and finance to review budgets and manage overages Reconcile budgets post-show Manage all vendor invoices and ensure payments are made Create POs Reconcile company credit card charges on monthly basis Engage existing vendors on events to ensure they are appropriately involved in planning of events and onsite execution. As part of this, establish estimated budgets up front and open necessary PO’s for vendors Track monthly spending against PO’s and alert Manager of overages to expected spending Work closely with vendors to ensure they are staying on budget and on-time with deliverables Provide appropriate onsite direction for vendors when appropriate to ensure efficient onsite collaboration Continuously monitor vendor partner quality and execution, and engage new vendors and venues for future events. Relationship Management Collaborate with other departments on Precor event strategy and execution, ensuring brand consistency while incorporating the latest innovations. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in multiple aspects of tradeshows and/or events Experience in collaborative budget management with other team members, including estimates from vendors and necessary partners pre-event and then actuals post-event Experience managing vendor relationships. Experience working collaboratively with other internal departments to execute all aspects of events Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate exceptional time management Must be able to multi-task and juggle multiple events and deadlines, and thrive in dynamic environments that require rapid change Experience working closely with remote teams and individuals, as well as those in the same location Experience having been on show site, managing a role of an event and working collaboratively with an event team, either internal or external. Demonstrates a strong passion and/or knowledge for fitness and wellness Pay Range: $97,800 to $109,300 The pay range represents the low and high end of the anticipated pay range for this position based at our Woodinville, WA headquarters. The actual pay offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
