Responsibilities

* The Youth Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing program growth and development, providing program technical assistance on policy and procedure, and providing support for case management activities, for ex: eligibility documentation, case notes, and assessments. Specifically, the Youth Program Coordinator is responsible for researching, interpreting, and analyzing federal/state law associated with the Youth Program, communicating policy recommendations, facilitating workgroups, providing technical assistance, and representing the OESC in public settings. The position will be responsible for a broad range of activities to ensure compliance with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and all applicable regulations.* The Youth Program Coordinator will work closely with team members to ensure WIOA Youth Program compliance, continuous improvement, and support innovative youth projects at the local levels. This position requires extensive verbal and written communication skills, a mastery of multi-tasking and prioritizing, the ability to plan and facilitate various meetings, a willingness to travel, an interest in relationship building, and a passion for helping create better opportunities for youth and improved economic success for Oklahoma.

Position Essential Functions

* Perform file review and general oversight ensuring policy and procedures are followed and performance measures are on target.* Facilitate workgroups.* Provide internal and external technical assistance.* Serve as liaison for internal and external partners on WIOA Youth Program rules and regulations.* Assist with special projects that may arise, including but not limited to miscellaneous research, grant reviews, review of governance documents, and monitoring.* Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

Work is typically performed in the office setting with climate-controlled settings and exposure to noise levels determined by the office environment. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to talk, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms requiring periods of sitting or standing and daily use of computer and phone. It also requires the occasional use of the office machinery in accordance with safety and security protocols.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of

* A bachelor's degree* Two years of professional business or public administration experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional level experience for each year of the required education.

Special Skills/Requirements/Preferences

* Computer Skills - Employee must be capable of proficiently using OESC's standard software (Microsoft Office - Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and Teams), and the Internet, as well as proficiency to learn other software as needed.* Employee must be capable of lifting, carrying and moving objects of up to 25 pounds.
