DescriptionCertified Medical Assistant - Full Time Hiring Range: $22.67 - $27.78 Per HourBenefits: Comprehensive and generous health, dental and vision benefitsUp to 19 days of PTO, 2 mental health days and 10 paid holidays your first year (pro-rated for part-time)Company-paid life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability Student loan payment assistance and extensive trainingAn incredible team approach that is dynamic and collaborativeThe Medical Assistant provides support and assistance to the assigned medical provider and clients to ensure timely and targeted comprehensive care interventions and coordination. Ensures client health data is accurately tracked in the medical record.Primary Responsibilities:Obtain and record vital signs, administer injections, complete lab orders, perform venipuncture and CLIA waived lab tests, and track lab results as requested by psychiatric medical provider.Submit and monitor status of necessary prior authorizations and assist with medication refills. Utilize KMHS approved external resources to obtain progress notes and diagnoses, view laboratory results, enter data into National registries, verify insurance coverage information and monitor prescriptions for controlled substances in the state database.At the request of the medical provider, communicate key client health needs to the care team members for comprehensive care coordination and treatment planning.Assist with gathering and tracking health information and accurately enter data into the electronic medical record.Assist the medical provider with timely communication with primary and specialty medical care providers, acute care hospitals, inpatient psychiatric treatment facilities and emergency departments. Establish effective linkages with on-site PCP, as well as the various levels of care available at KMHS to coordinate client needs. Assume responsibility for all scheduling needs for assigned medical provider.Provide information and education to clients to support their understanding of health and self-management capabilities.Minimum Qualifications:EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED and Completion of Medical Assistant training program.EXPERIENCE: Entry level (no prior related work experience)LICENSURE: Current Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) credential with Washington State Department of Health.
