It's fun to work in a company where people truly believe in what they are doingNeogen is looking to hire a Supply Chain Planner who will be responsible for monitoring the production plan and global inventory levels to meet the needs of our customers and achieve business goals and objectives. This includes tracking inventory levels and delivery performance as well as managing backorders. The role of Supply Chain Planner is critically important to the successful operation of the organization.The person in this role is the primary point of contact for the product line managed and works closely with the Production Planner as well as Sales, Marketing, Quality, Customer Service, and Manufacturing colleagues to ensure inventory is available for the customer when needed. Additionally, the supply planner role will include gathering data to prepare trend and forecasting reports for colleagues, management, and other stakeholders.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Creation of the supply plan utilizing ERP systems and supply chain toolsets to deliver targeted customer service levels and desired finished goods inventory levelsExecute supply planning standard work and drive standard work adherence metricsAnalyze and implement parameters in planning systemsSet preferred stock levels and prevent excess inventoryMonitor daily, weekly, and monthly production plansManage purchase ordering for buy/sell finished goodsPlan both short and long-term to align supply and demand plansCollaborate with Manufacturing, Lab, Sales, Quality, and other business partnersAssist business group operations with capacity planning, demand and supply synchronization, and executing against strategic business targetsIdentify opportunities to drive sustainable service, inventory turns, and non-working inventory improvementsCommunicate regularly and effectively to varying levels of the organization regarding inventory and backorder levelsQualifications: Bachelor's degree or Supply Chain Certification (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution Four (4) years of combined experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations in a private, public, government or military environmentExperience in planning/scheduling, inventory control, and/or supply chain managementExperience working with MS Office with demonstrated skill in utilizing Excel SpreadsheetsExperience in active participation on cross-function teams.Ability to work with external supply partners on resolving issuesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills (able to perform data analysis with mass data sets)Strong communication, interpersonal, and self-motivational skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsSkills and Competencies:Cultural Savvy: Demonstrates and lives One Neogen Pillars of Trust; Openness, Honesty, Credibility, Respect and Service through all actions, behaviors, and communication.
