The eligible individual will assist with confirming customer eligibility requirements through the examination of the applicant's personal and financial documentation. Create client files with the required documentation as needed for Adult Training programs. Conduct presentations, job readiness workshops, case management, and training/job placement activities. Have the ability to assist in motivating individuals to become self-reliant. Excellent and strong communication and customer service skills are required along with the ability to work independently while multi-tasking with particular attention to detail. Have strong organizational skills, knowledge, and experience in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to input data and assist in preparing reports. Must have excellent customer service practices. B.A. or B.S. is preferred but not required. Bilingual English/Spanish is a + but not required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Collects, organizes, and analyzes information about individuals through records, tests, interviews and professional sources, to appraise their interests, aptitudes, abilities and personal characteristics for vocational planning.

Facilitates orientations and workshops.

Remains updated on occupational and local labor market information, program requirements, and regulations affecting participants.

Refer participants to other CSET program resources as applicable.

Compiles and studies occupational, educational, and economic information to aid in making and carrying out vocational and educational objectives.

Keeps participant file updated by manually entering data on Program forms and in electronic case files including case notes regarding participant job placement and training.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position reports to the Site Coordinator and does not supervise staff.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum one-year experience providing services to low-income persons or justice involved individuals. Minimum of one-year experience providing vocational counseling, employment assistance and case management preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to speak effectively with groups of customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures for accounting purposes.

Ability to apply basic bookkeeping and record keeping principles.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS California Driver's License and proof of auto insurance.
