The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, energetic team player with 1-3 years of experience or Masters degree in Mechanical or related Energy Engineering (hydrogen, oil and gas, microgrids, energy storage, biofuels, etc.). Experience should include involvement in project management, design, and engineering. The candidate is a person that is passionate about their craft, wants to work on a high-functioning team, and looking for an environment that promotes professional growth within existing energy markets as well as emerging markets including carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS), hydrogen, energy storage, and alternative energy. Coffmans Anchorage Office offers a small firm work environment with large firm opportunities.You will be working directly with clients providing consulting services. The ideal candidate will have experience in: engineering for a variety of projects involving electrical utilities, battery energy storage facilities, energy projects, hydrogen, renewable energy, piping, pipelines and working with multifaceted stakeholder and multi discipline engineering groups on projects. Candidates with the desire for business development opportunities to bring in projects and new clients to Coffman would be preferred.Qualifications Bachelors degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from accredited college or university.Masters degree in Mechanical/Energy engineering or 1+ years of experience in energy industries (ex: power generation, battery, microgrid, wind, CHP, oil and gas, biofuels, other industrial, etc.).Experience with general energy facility engineering support tasks.Reading and preparing project drawings including piping plans, sections, isometric piping drawings, and bills of materials.Performing general facility engineering, fluid hydraulics and piping stress analysis calculations. Experience with software such as AFT products and AutoPIPE preferred.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Ability to develop proposals, execution plans and technical engineering reports.Ability to communicate with client/stakeholders effectively.Ability to lead inter-disciplinary projects and project teams.Ability to travel periodically.This position is not eligible for sponsorship.Additional Information Coffman Engineers is a company that truly focuses on its employees.
