Job Description:
The Call Center Operator is responsible for answering phones for all practice locations, making appointments, transferring calls and entering data into the computer. The Call Center Operator must ensure patient needs are met timely with exceptional customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Welcome all patients' calls by greeting them in a professional manner.
- Answer telephones, respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and schedule patient appointments.
- Assist patients with the completion of all necessary forms and documentation.
- Build and maintain patient records through the use of the practice EMR system.
- Build, monitor and maintain physician schedules according to suggested scheduling rubrics.
- Protect patient privacy by adhering to the HIPAA confidentiality guidelines.
- Maintain daily operations of the office by following standard policies and procedures.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned to help drive our mission of delivering high-quality and compassionate cancer care in our community, for our community, and by oncologists who live in our community.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with good computer and organizational skills required.
- Excellent oral and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task between phone calls and computer usage.
- Experience with computer software programs and medical records system.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
