Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist who thrives in a hands-on role, executing all HR functions with expertise and enthusiasm. The HR Generalist will organize and coordinate our critical human resources functions, including staffing and recruiting, payroll processing, compensation and benefit administration, employee training and development, labor laws regulation, and employee wellness and safety.

This is an onsite position at our headquarters in Largo, FL.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer day-to-day HR activities including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Perform bi-weekly payroll processing.
  • Manage benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits.
  • Handle employee relations, complaints, and grievance resolution.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Conduct training sessions and support employee development initiatives.
  • Implement and maintain competitive compensation structures.
  • Conduct workforce planning and strategic HR initiatives.
  • Develop and update company policies and employee handbooks.
  • Conduct employee surveys and recommend changes.
  • Manage risk and safety programs.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date job descriptions.
  • Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Qualifications

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration required.
  • PHR or SPHR Certification required.
  • Specialized training in employment law, compensation, employee relations, safety, training, and labor relations (preferred).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ADA, FMLA, Workers' Compensation, and FLSA.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HRMS/HRIS systems.
  • Ability to teach HR topics in a classroom setting.
  • Proficiency in creating reports, responding to surveys, and writing policies and communications.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to develop solutions.
  • Ability to conduct fair and accurate personnel evaluations.
  • Strong motivational skills to encourage employee behavior aligned with company goals.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
