Business Process facilitates Arhaus’ development and strategic plan for remediation of existing internal control deficiencies and improvement of business processes to support the Company’s continued growth. The Business Process Analyst will work cross functionally with management to aid Business Process with developing internal controls, remediating existing control deficiencies, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements. In this role the Business Process Analyst will be tasked with understanding the business and current-state complexities faced within the organization to assist Business Process with proposing potential solutions. This role is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact within the Business Process function and for the Company as a whole. The analyst will have exposure to all levels of management at Arhaus and the ability to develop relationships with different departments. This role reports to the Business Process Manager. Responsibilities: Review internal control testing documentation for Fixed Assets, Leases, Inventory, Tax, Treasury/Cash, Financial Statement Close Process, etc. to understand issue(s) identified by Internal and External Auditors. Maintain and exercise curiosity, a questioning mindset, and professional skepticism in meetings and discussions to gain a full understanding of the process. Effectively gather and document information learned through discussions with management, results of control testing, and research performed. Clearly and professionally convey findings or insights to Business Process Team and other process stakeholders. Assist with analyzing and assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes with consideration to both operational and financial risks. Develop meeting agendas and track the status and advancement of various competing priorities and tasks. Assist in the preparation of training to foster understanding and ownership of internal controls and SOX Compliance. Desired Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Operations, Management, or related field required. Alternatively, 5+ years of relevant experience in a corporate or public company environment fulfilling a similar role may be considered in place of a degree. 0-3 years of experience in internal or external audit role or finance/accounting role in a public company or corporate environment. Certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, Six Sigma) or progress towards preferred. High level of attention to detail and pride in the quality of work completed and presented. Knowledge of audit, accounting, IT, and control principles including GAAP, COSO, COBIT, IIA IPPF, and SOX. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), experience with Workiva/Wdesk, Oracle FCCS, Oracle Cloud EPM, and/or Storis a plus. Commitment to the highest level of ethics, integrity, objectivity, and confidentiality. High aptitude in written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
