Financial Analysis supporting our Mergers & Acquisitions team

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial principles, and the ability to interpret complex data. This role is crucial in providing financial insights, supporting decision-making processes, and contributing to the strategic growth of the company. This role will directly support our Mergers and Acquisitions team.

Essential Duties

Financial Analysis:
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Consolidate and analyze financial statements, forecasts, and budgets to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Reporting & Forecasting:
  • Prepare and present financial reports.
  • Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast future performance and assess the impact of various business scenarios.
Budgeting & Planning:
  • Support the annual budgeting process, including the preparation and analysis of departmental budgets.
  • Monitor and report on budget performance, identifying areas of concern and recommending corrective actions.
Risk Management:
  • Identify and evaluate financial risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Market Research & Analysis:
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and economic factors affecting the business.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis to support strategic initiatives.
  • Assumes and executes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and valuation techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software/tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of financial strategies.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure environment.
  • Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Education/ Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling.
Physical/ Environmental Requirements
  • Must be able to carry and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • This position will require sitting for long periods of time, walking, standing, bending, and walking, as well as using fine motor skills, such as finger dexterity for typing and using small hand tools.
  • This position requires average to above-average visual acuity and hearing.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to read memos, computer screens, personnel forms, and clinical and administrative documents.

Shift: Monday through Friday with light travel
