We believe in fairness and choose to be honest, transparent and authentic in everything we do.Key Responsibilities: Upgrade Planning: Develop and Maintain a 5-year upgrade plan for obsolete PLC's in our Newton, MS Foundry.Project Management: Lead PLC upgrade projects to enhance site reliability.Optimization: Collaborate with stakeholders to improve control systems' reliability and efficiency.Data-Driven Insights: Train users and expand data streams on our Aveva platform for more effective problem-solvingSafety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.Bachelors in a relevant engineering field (Electrical, Mechanical, etc.) with 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience managing $100K+ control systems upgrades or installations.Strong collaboration skills and ability to work toward high-level objectives with minimal guidance.Proficiency with PLC Programming software (Allen-Bradley preferred) and control systems diagnostics.Founded in 1871, Weir is a world leading engineering business with a purpose to make mining operations smarter, more efficient and sustainable.
