Job Description:

This is not a developer role; it is a critical production role responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of data workflows. The Data Production Specialist will primarily focus on feeding data lakes, data marts, operational data stores (ODS), and generating data feed extracts. They will be accountable for the seamless execution of data jobs, including analysis, troubleshooting, and implementing enhancements to optimize processes.

Key Responsibilities Execute and monitor data workflows to ensure timely and accurate data delivery to designated destinations Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve job failures or discrepancies efficiently Continuously enhance data pipelines and processes to improve efficiency and reliability Utilize expertise in DataStage for Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) operations Proficiency in Oracle database management and some SQL scripting for data manipulation Expertise in managing flat file formats, XML within PL/SQL, and converting file formats as necessary Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Tidal and Oracle scheduler to orchestrate job execution Adhere to software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies for project execution Demonstrate a strong understanding of model-driven development principles to maintain consistency and scalability

Skills Require Expert-level proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and DataStage development in a multi-tier environment Comprehensive understanding of data integration concepts and technologies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote work environment Proven track record of successfully delivering complex data projects within tight deadline
