**Job Description** : Indorama Integrated Oxides & Derivatives is looking for a Process Engineer to work at our Port Neches, Texas facility. In this role, support manufacturing operation processes with regard to safe operations, environmental compliance, and efficiency. **What will be expected from you?** + Identify project needs that will improve the operation of the facilities with specific focus on boiler systems, water treatment, bio-plant operations, and CoGen units. + Conduct process scope development for capital projects (justifications, conceptual design, etc.) Review proposed capital work for technical feasibility and operability. + Participate in/lead incident investigations to improve plant safety, eliminate environmental releases and operability. + Develop and implement process improvements or capital improvements that will increase energy output and efficiency, reduce cost of boiler/Cogen operation and provide general optimization. + Provide technical support to Operation and Maintenance groups and assist in the resolution of unit process issues. + Participate in Process Safety Management, including Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP), Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), in the corporate Behavior Based Safety Program and additional programs as deemed appropriate. + Provide support in development of unit operating procedures and standard operation conditions. + Ensure that the activities are carried out to comply with the integrated management system, as applicable (safety, food safety, GMP, health, environmental, quality and responsible care requirements). + Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives. + Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives. + Assists other employees in accomplishments of Indorama company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor. + Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company required training programs. **What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?** + B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of process/mechanical engineering experience in a petrochemical or refining facility is required. + Experience with Gas turbine, power boilers, water plant, and bio-plant – preferred. + Knowledge of emissions control strategies and application for fired equipment preferred. + Good understanding of integrated plant utility systems – preferred. + Familiar with operation, design, and troubleshooting of process equipment (columns, exchangers, piping systems, etc). + Experience at medium to large chemical plant complex supporting unit operations. + Working knowledge of DCS control systems and application. + Knowledge of all elements of PSM required, particular focus on PHA, LOPA, MOC. + Able to solve complex problems and coordinate / lead team to resolution. + Experience developing detailed project scope packages. + Demonstrated team leadership, either informal or formal. + Proven analytical thinker with conceptual understanding and ability of applying experiences and knowledge to identify best solutions. + Excellent writing/verbal communication and presentation skills. + Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs. + Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools and sound engineering practices. + Knowledge and experience with Aspen Plus or equivalent process simulating software is a plus. + Must have or be able to obtain TWIC card. **What can we offer you?** Indorama Ventures Oxides & Derivatives is a leading chemical intermediates and surfactants producer with a diverse range of products in growth markets such as home & personal care, agrochemicals, oilfield technologies, fuel & lube additives and more.
