Schedule may fluctuate depending on special activities/functions.
Unit: Memory Care

Job Description:

Plans and executes activities, implements new programs and works in collaboration with Life Enhancement Program staff. The Recreation Therapy Specialist fills multiple roles. Specialists are lead staff and execute various activities for residents at the Klein Center. May also drive the Klein shuttle bus to transport elders to various activities in the community and may occasionally carry cargo.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, or sport, health, leisure, or physical studies required
  • Prefer previous work experience or internship in long term care.
  • Maintains valid licensure/certification/registration
  • Licensed Recreation Therapist or eligible for licensure required. Must obtain licensure within 6 months of hire.
  • Current valid driver's license
  • Maintains current and active status on all required training and education as outlined by corporate policy
