Global Accounting Lead

Vaco is hiring for a manufacturing company seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our finance team as the Global Accounting Lead. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across our global operations. This role will be responsible for leading a team of accounting professionals, managing financial reporting, driving process improvements, and providing strategic guidance to support the company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:

Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the accounting team, promoting teamwork and accountability.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international accounting standards and regulations.
Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and address any audit findings.

Process Improvement and Optimization:

Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and enhance controls.
Implement best practices and automation solutions to optimize financial operations and reporting.
Continuously assess and enhance internal controls to mitigate risks and safeguard assets.

Global Accounting Operations:

Manage the accounting operations for multiple international entities, including consolidation, intercompany transactions, and foreign currency translation.
Coordinate with regional finance teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting across all locations.

Strategic Planning and Analysis:

Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and business planning initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate financial performance, identify trends, and drive business growth.
Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and systems to support the company's objectives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
7+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with international accounting standards.
Experience in a manufacturing or similar industry preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; SAP experience is a plus.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
