Position Description The M&E Engineer ensures that the highest quality of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction work is in accordance with project-specific cost and schedule requirements. Responsibilities: A detailed understanding of the contract documents (drawings and specifications), phasing plans, M&E systems interrelationships, construction sequencing and project schedule Facilitate problem solving, as may arise, between M&E Subcontractors during construction Validate design issues related to M&E and suggest alternative solutions Assist in the receipt and review of M&E submittals Log and post all M&E changes and as-built information on field drawings Assist in the scope review, budgeting, and justification of M&E change work order Assist in the installation of M&E work Direct, monitor and control the activities of M&E Subcontractor Coordination and administration of M&E related materials, systems, and shop drawings submittals Liaison with Consultant M&E supervisory Engineers, Inspectors, and relevant staff Ensure that M&E Subcontractors provides and adheres to relevant Quality documentation/records Ensure that M&E Subcontractors adheres to Project safety regulations Assist in the testing and commissioning of M&E equipment Develop subcontractor scope of work and detail scope delineation Gather and analyze scope pricing and prepare subcontracts for execution Coordinate CO scopes and review pricing with subcontractors and owners Position Requirements

CEM, Mechanical or Electrical University degree Engineering Working knowledge of plans, prints, specifications, and schematics associated with trade 5 years of construction experience with working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction procedures and practices Possesses excellent communication and organizational skills The above description is intended to identify the essential functions and requirements for the performance of this job; it is not to be construed as a complete statement of duties, responsibilities or requirements.
