Job Title: Project Safety Manager

Salary: Competitive compensation package.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Overall responsible for full time on-site safety and occupational health management for the project. This personal shall be designated as 'competent' and will provide safety direction and adherence to all safety regulations and programs including coaching, training, visibility, gaining and maintaining trust, and building a culture of personal awareness and accountability.

  • Conducts daily inspections and maintains safety documentation at the corporate and job site level.
  • Conducts incident investigations and maintains OSHA 300 forms.
  • Attends construction progress meetings.
  • Maintains a tracking system to monitor identified deficiencies and implements plans to ensure resolution.
  • Researches, analyzes, documents, and provides ongoing advice to site management to ensure all tasks are performed safely.
  • Ensures subcontractor compliance with safety and health requirements.
  • Schedules and executes safety training and tool talks.
  • Conducts business with 100% integrity and professionalism.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • 2 years of Safety Management experience required.
  • Experience in heavy civil construction industry a plus.
  • OSHA 500 Trainer
  • HAZMAT 40
  • SST 62
  • Confined space experience preferred.
  • CHST
  • 40 Site Safety Managers Class.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to form excellent working relationships with all levels of employment.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
