**Description**

There is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join the Corporate team in either Seattle or Los Angeles as a Corporate Safety Manager. This leader will be responsible for the prevention, detection, and resolution of loss throughout our satellite offices and surrounding properties in safety initiatives. The position oversees the development and implementation of behavior-based safety practices, audits functions for health and safety procedure implementation, ensures compliance with corporate and OSHA requirements and conducts a root-cause analysis of health and safety incidents influencing corporate training.

The ideal candidate has extensive leadership and safety experience. This is a strategic change champion position required to observe the current state, thoroughly understand operational requirements and provide sound recommendations that elevate safety and support business operations.

The successful candidate must be able to provide clarity when delegating instructions. They need to be highly organized and disciplined. This Safety Manager will elevate and maintain safety in Onnis culture and operations securing a pivotal leadership role in implementing processes and procedures ensuring our teams, customers and communities are protected.

**Job Description:**

* Provide Health & Safety functional leadership, mentorship, and guidance to office and site operations and management personnel

* Keep policies up to date, meeting the latest standards, and establishing new ones from time to time as more and newer risks are discovered

* Respond to issues relating to health, safety, environment, emergency response, performance metrics, and safety management systems for operations on all sites

* Compile analyze and interpret occupational illness and accident statistical data recommending process and safety features reducing employee exposure and increasing education on work hazards

* Develop location safety plans and initiate safety programs corporately including property and site-specific

* Schedule and organize safety training and orientations that support and align with our safety culture

* Clearly communicate and implement safety requirements to site and property leadership

* Liaise with OSHA and Health Authorities to ensure requirements are meant and exceeded and relationships are upheld

* Develop site safety plans and initiate safety programs for our district energy plant in Washington, and provide program maintenance and training as needed

* Other duties as created and assigned.

**Summary of Qualifications & Requirements:**

* S. Occupational Safety & Health Engineering or related Field

* Construction Health & Safety Tech. Certification (CHSR) an asset

* Auditor certificate an asset

* Willingness to work in a variety of locations across North America

* 5+ years of construction or property management experience

* 3+ years of safety management and training experience

* Solid understanding of OSHA and industry-specific regulations

* Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

* Solid written and verbal communication skills
