Comprehensive Benefits Tuition Reimbursement 401K Matching AON's WellBeing Program Position Summary: The primary responsibilities of Patient Services Specialist (PSS) include providing quality customer service by greeting patients, collecting their information and payments, scheduling appointments, and maintaining medical records. Responsibilities may vary based on office layout and size. Key Performance Areas: Create and maintain patient charts within the EMR and billing systems for New and Hospital Consult Patients. Accurately record and communicate Hospital Consults to the appropriate physician. Manage physician requests regarding schedule changes and patient appointments. Check-in patients per clinic policy, collect and document payments, and verify demographic information. Schedule patient appointments including follow-ups, treatments, referrals, and outside testing. Prepare and work reports in accordance with AON and clinic protocols. Required Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma; Associates degree a plus Experience: Minimally one year in the healthcare field, preferably in a physician office. Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish). Patient/Customer focused with strong attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Core Capabilities: Analysis & Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Interpersonal Effectiveness: Ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential material. Communication Skills: Effective oral and written communication skills. Customer Service & Organizational Awareness: Strong customer focus and ability to build effective relationships. Self-Management: Ability to manage time and conflicting priorities effectively. Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook required.
