Job Description: Desktop Engineer Staff AugTo research, evaluate, design, implement, and maintain system and product solutions, applying knowledge of engineering principles. Develop and maintain working knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager to provide engineering and technical support focused on End User Computing. To provide technical direction and engineering support for projects and infrastructure. Develop and maintain advanced functional knowledge of evolving IT engineering industry technologies/competition, concepts, and trends.

Basic Responsibilities

pply engineering principles into the design and enhancement of new and existing systemsPerform engineering tasks and assignments in support of business needsPerform engineering technology research, procurement, deployment, and configuration for new and modified systemsPresent clear, organized, and concise information to all audiences to enable effective business decisionsWork on projects and ad hoc tasks of varied scopeDocument new system components, or modifications to existing componentsParticipate in On-call rotationdhere to internal process and detailed procedures to support engineering functionsTier III support for end user computing utilizing ServiceNowPerform other duties as assignedEnsure the security and integrity of system and product solutions including compliance with Client, industry engineering and Information Security principles and practicesFull life-cycle project managementEstablish and lead project teamsDevelop project plan/scope/schedule/cost/communicationsProcure and/or manage resources/timelines/deadlines/qualityRisk, Issue and Change managementEnsure successful project implementationScope of responsibility

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in CyberSecurity, Business Administration, Information Technology or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experienceStrong understanding of MECM functionsStrong PowerShell Scripting skills to resolve specific desktop problemsStrong desktop engineering, administration and troubleshooting skillsWillingness to learn new system functions and concepts related to desktop engineeringEffective communication and documentation skills to write technical and end-user documentationEffective organizational, planning and time management skillsEffective research, analytical, and problem solving skillsEffective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisionsEffective ability to exercise initiative, produce desired results, and achieve objectivesEffective organizational, planning and time management skillsEffective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisionsCapable of working on multiple projects and adapting to frequent changing requirements, priorities, and proceduresWorking knowledge of engineering disciplinedvanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skillsdvanced verbal and written communication skillsdvanced word processing and spreadsheet software skillsSpecific Desires

Experience with MECM, Powershell, GitHub, Change Management ITIL best practices, Service NowExperience working in environments focused on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls and is able to assist in defining standards and policiesExperience working with DLP team members to influence/define product strategy and roadmaps to focus on quality and continuous deliveryIntegrates Agile principles into team practices and work products using Objectives and Key Results (OKR).Demonstrated track record of engaging in technical design of solutions based on use cases and business requirementsStays abreast of emerging technologies and threats to proactively assess and evaluate the adoption thereof into the organizationGood understanding and exposure to Cloud standards, architecture, and modelsExperience with Splunk and/or UberAgentExperience with NIST Risk Management FrameworkExperience with network security concepts and principlesExperience with Server and Endpoint operating system securityCISSP, CCNP Security certification a plusExperience in multiple platforms Citrix, Windows, & MACExperience with Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft Defender Exploit GuardExperience with Desktop as a Service (DaaS) in relation to Azure Virtual Desktop
