POSITION SUMMARY: The PRSC provides direct and indirect rehabilitation services to both individuals and groups of members served. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: •Demonstrates the facility mission, purpose, values and beliefs in everyday language and contact with the internal and external stakeholders•Assists with the Special Treatment Program Rehab/Nursing elements on their assigned shift•Provides safe, effective and efficient implementation of daily activities in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards of care•Establishes and maintains a therapeutic relationship with members served•Assists and co-leads therapeutic activity groups.•Acts as a role model and a member of the Rehabilitation Nursing Staff•Participates in and assists with rehabilitation groups and activities•Attends shift report and assists in providing unit supervision as needed•Knowledgeable of the inventory and how to obtain equipment and supplies for activity programs as directed•Maintains order and cleanliness of the Activity Rooms•Promotes and assists members served in developing self-help skills•Reviews and implements members served treatment plans•Actively participates in multidisciplinary team meetings and treatment planning meetings•Responds to emergency/crisis situations•Demonstrates knowledge Professional Assault Response Training techniques•Observes, records and reports members served social, symptomatic, and psychiatric•Regular on-time attendance for all scheduled shifts REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: •High School Graduate or High School Equivalency •Desire to work with individuals with serious mental illness •Must be CPR, ProAct or Crisis Prevention Institute, and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment •Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology or Social Work Our company provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
