Goldberg Segalla, a dynamic and collaborative law firm with a national presence, seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join its team as an Accounts Payable (AP) Team Lead in its Buffalo, NY office.

The Accounts Payable (AP) team lead will provide a high level of support to the department. They will motivate team members and drive performance to meet department and organizational goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Cultivate a collaborative team environment built on open communication and engagement

Take a creative and proactive role identifying inefficiencies, process gaps and training opportunities to increase the department’s productivity

Monitor and track the department’s workflow and performance on a daily basis. Identifying needed resources to efficiently process work and meet department and firm deadlines

Regularly communicate with the team to ensure compliance with firm and department policies and procedures. Clearly convey and assist in outlining new or updated information

Conduct 1:1 meetings with team members to promote alignment of goals, individual development, challenges and solutions

Manage team member’s schedules and coordinate appropriate work coverage. Review and approve team member’s timecards on a biweekly basis

Train and onboard new team members with a thorough training and goal setting plan

Assist in the maintenance and creation of department and firm policy and process documentation

Monitor the department’s email boxes to ensure appropriate and timely processing and resolution of issues

Assist in managing the firm’s travel program, which includes processing travel invoices, reconciliation of travel accounts, reviewing data to proactively find gaps, and identifying areas for continued program improvement

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Payable experience

Knowledge of Aderant applications and expense workflow applications preferred

Experience with travel management software (Concur) and expense workflow applications preferred

Comfortable working in a fast pace, deadline driven environment

Ability to adapt to changes in work, priorities and requirements

Strong team building skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Excellent customer service skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

Exceptional time management and organizational skills

Attention to critical thinking and problem solving

Benefits:

This role offers an hourly. The hourly salary range for this position is $24.04 - $28.85. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law.
