The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join our Government Solutions team. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality motor carrier administration systems and services to help jurisdictions manage their International Fuel Tax Agreement and International Registration Plan processes. This position provides support to both a project team responsible for delivering large project items, and a support team responsible for enhancements and resolving issues.

What You’ll Do: A large focus for this role is writing and maintaining detailed documentation of user and system requirements, including user stories and acceptance criteria using agile methodology.

Includes providing technical analysis of business requirements, problem solving and troubleshooting technical issues. Acting as a liaison between developers and end users to provide business critical or technical solutions that meet user needs and improve their business processes.

Involves moderate to difficult analyst tasks, following Explore methodologies, and utilizing company tools and systems.

Execute project planning tasks including status reporting, updating and assigning tasks to developers, and participating in or facilitating team sessions.

Test, evaluate, and validate systems for business stakeholders and provide demonstrations of the system after milestone deliveries.

Provide new and innovative approaches to business solutions and leverage domain and analyst practice expertise to provide the most effective solutions to the business partners in the most efficient means possible.

Select and apply appropriate analysis techniques and tools (process modeling, use cases, etc.) for each project.

Negotiate technical and non-technical solutions that both satisfy the business users and conform to the technical architecture.

Participate in external client, vendor, and on-site meetings. Minimal travel may be required.

What You’ll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.

Or a minimum of 2-4 years of progressive technical and business experience that includes analytical thinking and processes with problem-solving.

Business analyst experience performing requirements definition, analysis, documentation and design, and project management.

UX/UI/Design Experience

Polished presentation experience with excellent verbal/written communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Proficient in Azure DevOps or Jira.

Must be able to proficiently query data from a SQL server or other relational database.

Experience working within a defined development life cycle methodology including waterfall and Agile.

Inquisitive with a passion for learning complex systems to be able to extract and document requirements which aid in the design and development of enhancements and new builds.

Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment while working on multiple projects simultaneously.

Adhere to and champion company best practices.

Successful experience working with external customers.

Ability to work independently owning tasks and delivering high-quality services on time.
