Sr. ETL Architect

As an ETL Architect, you will be responsiblefor the design, development, and deployment of ETL processes fromstart to finish. Leading by example, you will guide data engineerstoward best-in-class data pipelines and develop standards forstreamlined ETL development. In addition to writing code, you willoffer strategic thinking and thought leadership to optimize andscale Marvin’s data platform and architecture per Marvin businessrequirements. 

Highlights of your role:

• Multiple years of cloud datawarehouse experience supporting a modern data architecture,databases, storage, and data analysis using Snowflake andDBT.
• Proficiency incloud services, with a focus on Snowflake andAzure.
• Experience with data ingestion tools (Fivetranpreferred).
• Data engineering skills in one or more ETL tools (DBTpreferred).
• Excellent understanding of database capabilities forreporting, analytics, and ETLworkloads.
• Experience designing and developing complex SQL scriptsthat are fast andefficient.
• Ability to map source data and design/build dimensionalmodels that deliveranalytics.
• Excellent understanding of reporting and analyticsdeployments (Power BI,Qlik).
• Ability to understand complex business operations,organizational goals, and the ability to design solutions thatachieve them.
• Ability to work with business analysts and product ownersto understand business processes andneeds.
• Ability to understand scoping, documentation, and designarchitecture for complex business analyticsproblems.
• Strong experience supporting stakeholders and assistingthem with data-related technicalissues.
• Experience designing and developing scripts usingPython.

You're a good fit if youhave (or if you can):

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related fieldpreferred.
• 5+ years as a Data or ETL Engineer with 2+ years’experience developing data on Snowflake and/or DBT orsimilar.
• 5+ years working on an Enterprise Datateam.
• 5+ years datamodel designresponsibility.
• 2+ years on an agileteam.
