About the Job

CDS Logistics & Home Services is seeking a dynamic professional to be apart of their warehouse team specializing in being a double reach forklift operator for a leading final mile logistics company. The Warehouse position of Double Reach Operator will be responsible for executing the pulling and putting away of palletized product within our warehouse racking system to support daily deliveries. You will have a direct hand in cementing our reputation as the logistics and transportation provider of choice in North America for our customersreporting directly to the Double reach lead. Our primary goal is to ensure excellent operational standards are met and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Double Reach Lift Operator
  • Act as a member of warehouse double reach truck operator: responsible for coming to work at scheduled shift times to execute the daily task of moving palletized product in and out of a Multi-level warehouse racking system. Employees will utilize warehouse equipment following all safety standards and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and the highest level of safety possible.
  • Execute with speed and accuracy: All employees are trained how to properly handle product, utilize barcode scanner to increase accuracy, complete paperwork and to understand layout and organization of warehouse to execute their responsibilities and daily tasks.
  • Manage and maintain communication: Maintaining communication between team lead and warehouse supervisor regarding any issues faced throughout shift or questions that you may have
  • Interact and communicate professionally with internal and external customer groups
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating efforts with other employees and external customers
Essential Job Functions
  • Experience working in a Warehouse operating a double reach truck/lift to movie large palletized product.
  • Double reach truck/lift Certification preferred, can provide recertification onsite.
  • Communication excellence: strong communication and level of professionalism when speaking co-workers, leadership team, customers and CDS business partners.
  • Proactive team-player: We are looking for an individual who works two steps ahead, identifying and eliminating roadblocks long before they appear on the horizon.
  • Cross Train: Capable of performing multiple warehouse tasks such as but not limited to; General Receiving, Appliance receiving, assisting the Break bulk teams, LTL order processing and customer pick-ups.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, sit for prolonged periods of time, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Little to no travel is expected for this position.

Work Environment

This job primary equipment will be the double reach fork lift, forklifts both propane and electric, electric ride on jacks, manual jacks, dollies, hand carts of various types common to a warehouse and other warehouse related equipment.
