SUMMARY: We are conducting a Director of Contracts search for an organization that creates advanced architectural products custom engineered in the USA for private, state, and federal agencies. The Director of Contracts will work closely with internal business unit partners as the leader responsible for the full contract process of new government architectural opportunities. This person will act as a primary point of contact and a liaison between the Government and internal teams, collecting and coordinating all aspects of government projects. If you have construction contract administration experience and are looking to take the next step in your career with a dedicated, mission-driven, research and development organization, we’d like to speak with you The Director of Contracts will have the following duties: Data collection and coordination for all aspects of government projects, including managing supply lines, labor, recording hours for all positions, shipping, construction management, and tracking of all phases of the programs. Responsible for providing technical guidance and assistance to management and staff regarding contract forms and processes, including the negotiation, preparation, and execution of contracts and agreements. Prepare and execute contractual documents, including but not limited to contracts, NDAs, teaming agreements, and subcontracts to achieve the best value for the company and work closely with senior management before signature. Conduct RFP reviews and analysis and prepare and disseminate information regarding contract requirements and status throughout the life cycle of the RFP, Award, and Close Out. Oversee the preparation of proposals, negotiations, and administration of contracts and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Seek guidance from senior management or legal counsel when needed. Direct and develop policies and processes that govern contract administration, provide guidance and communication on contract terms and applicable government regulations. Provide input into strategic decisions, assist in identifying risks and problems, propose solutions and mitigation planning. Support resolution for escalated issues requiring coordination and/or documentation with subcontractors, vendors, and customers (both Government and Commercial). Participate in weekly meetings, assist in the preparation of documents, letters, and contractual communications as needed, notify senior management of potential concerns, change order management oversight, and status of contracts/reports, etc. Analyze all requirements and provisions in the contract, coordinate with departments and subcontractors (and legal as needed) to ensure compliance with the contract regarding performance and cost, company goals and objectives, and ensure clear communication and coordination with senior management. Ensure contract closeout, negotiate extensions or renewals, and manage any contract modifications or amendments. REQUIREMENTS: A bachelor’s degree in business management, engineering, finance, or a related field from a credited college, university, or technical school. 10 years of successful related experience or training in engineering, finance, or manufacturing management, of which two (2) years are in a supervisory/managerial capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, shift focus, adapt to changing priorities, maintain patience in high-pressure situations, and take initiative where appropriate. Attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies. Ability to work with a team at all levels of an organization. Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment through frequent interruptions and changing deadlines. Organize information or materials for others. Adaptable and willing to support new tasks. Able to travel as needed. 25% to 50% domestic travel. Foreign travel may be required. CTR Group
