Marketing Manager

is primarily responsible for developing marketing materials to support the attraction and expansion efforts of the ACA. As a member of the Marketing & Communications team, this position requires both a marketing and project management set of skills. A strong attention to detail and premier communications skills are vital to the success of this role. This individual will work on a variety of marketing project types, with a large percentage of time spent managing competitive project proposals and pitches, working closely with the ACA’s business development team as a sales enablement partner. The position serves as liaison between the Marketing & Communications team and other divisions within the organization, often gathering key information from many other ACA departments and community stakeholders. The Marketing Manager will coordinate and develop new process improvements to enhance and streamline initiatives between divisions and different project types. This individual is responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting milestone deadlines for each individual initiative or project.

This is a hybrid position (3-5 onsite/location days per week) located in Phoenix, AZ. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with internal and external agency teams to support requests related to sales enablement activities such as proposals, brochures, one-sheets, PPT presentations, and other collateral.

Project manage deliverables and deadlines to multiple stakeholders by planning, setting milestones, and coordinating all aspects of the proposal initiative response in advance of the due date.

Maintain and evolve standard operating procedures.

Oversee the writing and development of engaging content for various platforms and collateral materials, ensuring consistency in messaging and tone.

Demonstrate key understanding of marketing goals and objectives, adhering to the marketing project strategy from start to completion.

Grow and maintain resources pertinent to ACA’s proposal workflow, including detailed playbooks, workflow, standard work documentation, key corporate information, and tailored content.

Work closely with internal subject matter experts (SMEs), including other members of the Marketing and Communications team and others, to establish a strong awareness of proposal resources and a clearly defined process / responsibility breakdown.

Ensure strict proposal compliance.

Coordinate proposal development, printing, submission and delivery, accounting for any specific requirements.

Maintain, update, and follow proofing checklist.

Create, update, and manage visual timelines and schedules leveraging project management software or tools, including Gannt charts and more.

Update industry and trade sections of the website through Umbraco CMS system.

Contribute to a creative and collaborative team environment.

COMPETENCY, EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field of study. Minimum five (5) years industry-related experience with primary responsibility for marketing project management; experience must include project management for a brand, creative, or sales or marketing team. Strong knowledge of various content platforms including Pardot, Umbraco, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Proven familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and project management best practices. Successful record of managing multiple projects with demonstrated ability to work independently in rapidly changing environments. Proven ability to communicate, influence, establish trust, and demonstrate results with multiple stakeholder groups will be critical to success for this position. Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills; highly collaborative team approach to work. Proven writing skills with ability to recognize and adopt different styles and tones and compose highly effective communications. Proficiency with MS Office suite, including PowerPoint, and web-based technologies. Dynamic comprehension, organization, and prioritization skills. Solid time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage various competing deadlines. HIGHLY PREFERRED SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS: Advertising, marketing or PR agency experience Umbraco CMS knowledge is a plus Ability to effectively cope with change, can shift gears comfortably, can decide and act without having the total picture, comfortably handles risk and uncertainty. Able to manage internal customer relationships by relaying information and ideas through multiple-media formats in a clear, concise, and compelling manner. Exhibits great attention to detail and accuracy. Proven ability to communicate, influence, establish trust, and demonstrate results with multiple stakeholder groups will be critical to success for this position. Able to understand difference audience segments and adopt the mindsets of different users interacting with a particular channel or piece of content.
