Events and Marketing Manager Job Description

AZ Big Media is searching for a highly motivated and organized Events and Marketing Manager to spearhead all event planning and marketing initiatives. You will play a crucial role in driving brand awareness, generating leads, and ensuring the success of our publications and events.

Responsibilities:

  • Event Management:
    • Oversee all aspects of AZ Big Media events, from pre-planning to post-event evaluation.
    • Develop creative themes, source venues, manage budgets, and coordinate logistics.
    • Secure sponsors and exhibitors, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
    • Create compelling marketing materials and promotional items to generate event buzz.
    • Manage on-site operations, ensuring smooth event execution and attendee satisfaction.
    • Analyze event data and provide reports to measure return on investment (ROI).
  • Marketing & Communications:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns for all 7 events and 8 magazines.
    • Create compelling copy for sales fliers, media kits, website content, email blasts, and advertisements.
    • Collaborate with the design team to produce visually appealing marketing materials.
    • Manage and maintain the AZ Big Media website, ensuring it's up-to-date with event information and advertising opportunities.
    • Oversee the fulfillment of partnership agreements, including ad placements across various platforms.
    • Leverage email marketing and social media to promote events and publications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in event management and marketing.
  • Proven track record of successfully planning and executing events.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clear and concise messaging.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and manage competing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (optional).
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms and social media is a plus.
