This is a full time, remote opportunity to support the Department of Energy. Candidates must be comfortable working in a remote setting and travelling to work 1 week / month onsite at Oak Ridge, TN.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Customer requirements gathering
System engineering design against customer requirements
HTML5 web development
Database interaction with web apps
Agile development methodologies
Use of API calls to various platforms includingASP.NET andC#
User Interface Design
Experience with reading authentication and/or identification devices (e.g. badges, tags, etc)
Experience with ServiceNow API Web Interface
Create and implement scalable and sustainable technical solutions in accordance with requirements provided by stakeholders while maintaining platform stability, scalability, and compliance with applicable license agreements and audit policies.
Collaborate and contribute on the creation, deployment and maintenance of Technical Best Practices and Standards
Ensure technical documentation is complete, consistent, high quality, on time, and deliver valued outcomes
Build trust and establish thought leadership through publication activities: Knowledge Articles, White Papers, Wiki, Community, Blogs, Templates, Capability Content, etc.
Provide mentorship and guidance to other members of the team.
Maintain curiosity and proactive familiarity with ServiceNow capabilities and share knowledge and best practice with the entire team.
Hold design sessions with responsible managers to gather requirements and design information
Execute a deliverable design sessions where principle design architecture is identified and approved
Execute iterative sessions in development to include functionality testing to validate function and design with responsible manager
Execute quality assurance testing
Receive final signoff and approvals prior to moving system to production use
Weekly reports should be produced showing work progress and what deliverables have been met
All code for maintenance and operations of the developed system
All documentation for the maintenance and operations of the developed system
All design and requirements documentation
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree is required.
5+ years of experience as a software developer.
5+ years of ServiceNow experience is preferred.
