Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY
This role will design, develop, automate, and maintain the company's Power BI Dashboards used by individual users, managers, leadership team, and Executive Staff to make data-driven decisions for Goodwill San Antonio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Lead in the design and development of reports, data visualizations, dashboards, and other outputs using Power BI.
  2. Provide training and support to departments in the day-to-day use of Power BI reports and dashboards.
  3. Manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources using a variety of tools and data analysis techniques.
  4. Analyze business requirements to determine appropriate data needs and reporting solution.
  5. Perform data profiling to validate business requirements, key assumptions, and identify potential data or process gaps.
  6. Perform data analysis to identify and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  7. Provide data education to key business groups to raise awareness of what information is readily available in in the data warehouse for analysis.
  8. Acquire data from various internal and external sources and import into data warehouse.
  9. Monitor data quality/integrity and work with internal stakeholders to identify and correct data quality/integrity issues.
  10. Effectively communicate ideas, plans, and results through presentations and written reports.
  11. Participate in special projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
  1. Bachelor's degree required, preferably in computer science, math, statistics, or equivalent technical field.
  2. 1-3 years' experience working in information technology and/or data analytics.
  3. 2+ years' experience writing, maintaining, and debugging SQL queries (Intermediate level skills).
  4. 1+ years of experience with Power BI.
  5. Knowledge of ETL and data warehouse processes.
  6. Knowledge of and proficiency in manipulating and analyzing large public and proprietary business, financial and demographic datasets. Ability to work successfully with diverse groups of team members and external entities.
  7. Proficient in visualizing, designing, and developing reports in business intelligence tools, preferably Power BI.
  8. Excellent written and oral communication skills including ability to communicate effectively on the telephone, virtually, and via e-mail.
  9. Ability to explain complicated or technical information in a simple way to non-technical audiences.
  10. Proficient in core MS Office Professional Tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  11. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  12. Attention to detail as necessary to produce high quality work.
  13. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation, and pass any required federal, state, municipality, and/or customer-specific background checks.
  14. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
