Operates various machines within the factory. Assists in all classifications as needed.

Training will be on 1st shift for the first 3-4 months. Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30 pm EST.

What You Will Do
  • Obtains necessary stock, fixtures, tooling, and gaging.
  • Operates manual and NC machines necessary to produce module parts.
  • For example: Lathes, Grinders ECM Presses, Drills, and Saws
  • Assist Finishing Technicians with direction.
  • Performs handyman duties Performs tumble and deburr operations.
  • Performs clerk and tool crib duties Performs machining duties.
  • Performs plating duties Performs material processing duties.
  • Performs in-process inspection as a certified operator.
  • Performs computer transactions.
  • Perform Alodine process operations.
  • Cleans machines.
  • General housekeeping.
  • Handles, transports, and stores RCRA hazardous waste as required.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, preferably technical school background, and demonstration of basic educational competencies (reading, writing).
  • Blueprint and routing reading and comprehension.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Competent with hand tools and experienced with measuring equipment.
  • Basic computer skills such as log on, data entry and retrieval.
  • Obtain certifications and qualifications required to perform job.
  • 8-hour RCRA hazardous waste handler training (initially and annually).

The salary range for this role is $24.89/hr. The salary rate provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
