JOB DESCRIPTION:
Akron / Cleveland, Ohio area A&E Firm seeks an experienced Civil Project Engineering Manager who is able to plan and manage road / highway ODOT construction projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, and/or Planning with a minimum of 8 years of Civil Engineering & Project Management experience.
Candidate will possess one or more of the following Certifications: PLA/RLA, AICP and/or a PE.
Candidates should have experience with the following: roadways, highways, rails, trails and other transportation projects.
Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and other industry-based software.
Preferred Candidates would have experience managing all activities for assigned projects including scheduling work, project budgets, directing associates and sub-consultant activities, establishing and monitoring quality requirements, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Candidates are expected to be capable of preparing proposals/ contracts, and determine project requirements, budget, deliverables, and scope based on client requirements.
Candidate is responsible for identifying project risks and monitor and mitigate risk throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring the project and associates follow organizational and operational guidelines, processes, deadlines, and procedures and to make recommendations for improvements.
Candidate is required to make formal presentations, build relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors and regulatory agencies to ensure the success of the project and of the company.
