JOB REQUIREMENTS: What You\'ll Do The Director of Operations will directand coordinate all manufacturing related activities by performing theduties below either individually or by working through team members orsupervisors. The Director of Operations will provide leadership in theproduction environment by developing and implementing short range plansand identifying goals and objectives to meet the company\'s vision,mission and long-range strategic plans. Commercial responsibilities willinclude working with the direct sales force along with distributors andmanufacturers\' representatives in order to understand and properlyaddress customer requirements. Manages employee and material resourcesto ensure that product is produced efficiently, cost effectively, ontime, and at optimum quality and quantity levels in a safe workenvironment. Takes proactive measures to build an accident free workenvironment by building employee involvement, using RCCM process toeliminate near misses and avoid recurring accidents, and holding allemployees accountable for engaging in safe behaviors. Promotes,identifies and implements opportunities for continuous improvementthrough constant assessment of employee, machine and processeffectiveness by using the Standex Operational Excellence tools. Coachesand guides team members to higher levels of performance by effectivelycommunicating expectations, providing necessary tools for success, androle modeling the Standex Leader competencies. Leads all productionplanning and is accountable for the prioritization and coordination ofthe work flow. Perform data analytics to drive strategic action plansfor business operations metrics. Manage the strategy deployment processto ensure proper prioritization of resources, and detailed correctiveaction plans to address key performance indicators which are belowtarget levels. Initiate, implement, and manage the plant maintenanceprogram based on best practices, with an emphasis on planning/schedulingand preventive/predictive maintenance. Improve manufacturing processesand methods for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Cash. Comply with,understand, and enforce all company policies and procedures whileensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatoryagencies and mandates. Coordinate activities with operations,maintenance, and production to obtain optimum product production andutilization of equipment, space, and staffing. Provide input forquarterly business updates. Assist in the annual budget planning processby providing input on cost to operate the plant and expected futurecapital and expense needs. Represent Federal on Standex cross functionalteams in areas such as quality management system, ERP strategy or othersas needed.
