You will have a mentor and in-house trainer assigned to you for your first 90 days. They will work with you in training and certifying you in the processes and procedures that we use here at TrueNorth Steel. You will have a Team Lead, who will supervise your work and will give you direction throughout your workday. You will receive initial and ongoing safety training by an in-house full-time Safety Coordinator.What makes the welding unique at TrueNorth Steel is the variety (not working on the same product/project day after day), the challenge (learning new skills and working with your team to come up with unique solutions), and opportunity for growth (the opportunities to progress and to explore in this company are vast).Most sites operate consistently, year-round at around 45-50 hours per week.SKILLS NEEDED TO SUCCEED2+ years of welding (Flux-core) experience preferred.Basic understanding of blueprint reading and weld symbols preferred.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
