General Description of Position: The Marketing & Ecommerce Director at Next Adventure is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of our ecommerce and marketing operations to ensure the success of our online retail presence. This includes overseeing web development, visual merchandising, customer care, and sales. The role involves developing and implementing comprehensive strategies and promotions to continuously enhance our website and improve the overall customer experience. Additionally, the director will spearhead innovative marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness and customer engagement. The Marketing & Ecommerce Director will manage a team of 15-20 professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Responsibilities: Marketing & Ecommerce: Lead and oversee all marketing and ecommerce activities, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. Research & Analytics: Utilize data-driven insights to monitor, analyze, and optimize marketing and ecommerce performance. Strategy and Development: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and ecommerce strategies to drive growth and improve customer experience. Marketing Operations: Manage day-to-day marketing operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all activities. Sales & Campaigns: Drive sales initiatives and promotional campaigns to boost online revenue and market presence. Branding Strategy: Develop and execute branding strategies to enhance brand recognition and loyalty. Graphic Design: Oversee graphic design efforts to ensure cohesive and appealing visual communications. Traditional Marketing: Oversee traditional marketing activities, including print advertising, event marketing & management, and broadcast advertising. Digital Marketing: Lead digital marketing efforts, including SEO/SEM, email marketing, and content & social media marketing. Public Relations: Manage public relations efforts to maintain a positive company image and reputation. Influencers, Affiliates & Partnerships: Develop and manage relationships with influencers, affiliates, and partners to expand reach and impact. Ecommerce: Ensure the ecommerce platform is user-friendly, visually appealing, SEO/SEM, and optimized for sales. Web Merchandising: Oversee web merchandising to ensure products are presented compellingly and effectively. Customer Care: Lead the customer care team to provide exceptional service and support. Website Development: Oversee website development to ensure functionality, performance, and continuous improvement. Ecommerce Logistics Requirements Qualifications: Proven experience in a senior ecommerce and/or marketing role, preferably within the retail industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team. Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Shopify web development and ecommerce platforms, as well as digital marketing tools and techniques. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights to drive performance improvements. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
