Responsibilities

•Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products
•Measure, mark dimensions and layout material to be installed using tools such as scribes, rulers, calculators and squares
•Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal with solder, welds, caulk, bolts, and metal driver clips, ensuring work is done carefully and bonds will last
•Uses appropriate machinery and software applications to complete assigned jobs
•Ensuring that safety is a priority on the job during all activities including using tools and installing and fabricating metals
•Clean the work area and restock supplies and materials as needed

Qualifications

•Sheet Metal Journeyman - preferred
•Must to able to demonstrate craft & skill
•Field & shop fabrication experience - required
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•Extensive knowledge of hand tools and shop equipment -e.g. roll formers, rollers, hand brake, press brake
•Must have keen attention to detail to ensure standards of accuracy
•Welding experience - preferred
•Team player mentality - required
•Ability to stand, walk for long periods and use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate
