This is a 6 month contract to hire and is onsite one day per week. Responsibilities:

Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth. Infrastructure Management : Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, VMware, and Nutanix infrastructure. Project Management : Manage and coordinate multiple infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress. System Administration : Perform advanced system administration tasks, including server installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Ensure high availability, performance, and security of IT systems. Security and Compliance : Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance requirements for IT infrastructure. Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments. Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with other IT teams, business units, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet organizational needs. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Performance Optimization : Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement. Implement performance tuning and optimization strategies for Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, and Nutanix environments. Documentation and Reporting : Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and procedures. Provide regular reports on team performance, project status, and system health. Incident Management : Lead the response to high-priority incidents, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal impact on business operations. Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative measures. Innovation and Improvement : Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
