About The Role

CLIENT - A CLIENT company and perpetual innovator – is looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated marketing leader to leads its Acquisition efforts for the CLIENT Canada team. The person in this role will lead the charge to generate new members of CLIENT Canada across all paid media and organic channels to meet our ambitious acquisition goals. You will be managing a strong team of marketers and have direct hands-on ownership as well as cross-functional coordination with teams in Product, User Experience, Creative, and Technology. You will have the opportunity to shape innovative programs to drive successful customer acquisition and strong business metrics. This role is based in Newark, NJ, and reports to the Head of Canada.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute multi-channel plans to drive new member acquisition, determining the optimal channel mix, creative message and budget allocation. Specifically manage all above the line media and manage 3 direct reports who will manage all external digital media (e.g., Paid Search), all CLIENT surfaces acquisition and all CRM functions. Manage relationships with media agencies and vendors, including negotiating pricing and agreements. Manage significant annual budget and member forecast including media spend allocation. Employ strategies and testing to grow membership in identified key segments, using a range of tactics to drive from awareness to conversion. Communicate these results in a clear, compelling manner. Partner cross-functionally with other business team partners in Product, Creative, Technology, Customer Care, UX Design and Finance to deliver effective initiatives. Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the organization's ability to meet its goals. Others as defined by evolving business needs for a rapidly growing online business.

Basic Qualifications

7+ years of work experience in acquisition marketing, including experience leading strong marketing managers Strong digital marketing experience driving acquisition (e.g., Paid Search, Display, Wireless media), but with a solid understanding of the full customer lifecycle. Demonstrated understanding of site optimization, UX and persuasive marketing techniques in the driving of new member conversion. Budget and forecasting management experience, including creating "what if” scenarios. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Math or a related field of study. Strong understanding of subscription revenue business models. Strong leadership skills, coupled with excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills Strong strategy and analytics skills, with an advanced understanding of success metrics Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, plus ability to clearly articulate and express complex and sometimes technical ideas to a wide variety of people and groups at any level Experience with web/mobile analytics programs, i.e., Site Catalyst and A/B testing strategies and related programs, i.e., Test & Target. Ability to generate and quickly execute upon actionable recommendations based on the synthesis and analysis of data. Self-motivated, nimble and highly results-driven in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA or graduate degree. Have worked at a leading brand company or agency managing leading brands. Proactive and solutions oriented. Entrepreneurial spirit / ability to try different things with minimal direction. Established track record of creativity and innovation. Experience turning data/research insights into actionable plans. Experience working in Canadian business/culture. Fluency in French.
