Director of Tenant Relations

Des Moines, United States CCIM Institute Full time

The Director of Tenant Relations will be responsible for managing HHP’s ecosystem of tenants, both growing our portfolio of brands through new development opportunities (Leasing) and supporting select operating HHP sites (Account Management). This will require a combination of a dedicated work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and a high degree of flexibility to accommodate the ever-evolving needs and priorities of all three primary stakeholders in the HHP ecosystem (tenants/brand partners, hospitals/healthcare partners, HHP). This position offers a great deal of potential for career progression, making it an incredibly attractive opportunity for highly motivated and ambitious individuals. The primary goal of the Director of Tenant Relations will be to proactively cultivate relationships with prospective tenants in key markets where HHP is expanding – while these efforts will be carried out with support from our Acquisitions team, this role will be the main point of contact throughout the tenant leasing process; an ability to work nimbly across internal HHP departments while seamlessly communicating a unified narrative to external parties will be crucial to success. Working cross-functionally with HHP’s senior Leadership team, to achieve HHP’s strategic growth priorities will allow for a great deal of visibility into our development process from start to finish; therefore, prior experience in real estate is strongly preferred (with hospitality and/or retail-specific experience a big bonus). Additionally, working closely with the Account Management Team, the Director of Tenant Relations will oversee and manage hospital relationships at sites in Long Island and Chicago. This will allow the position to develop an understanding of the lease structure as well as learn the ins and outs of HHP’s operating model, thus empowering them with empathy and experience in negotiating future lease agreements. We are seeking a candidate with a strong ability to source, structure and manage partnerships with HHP’s tenants/brand partners through a process rooted in

candor, empathy and persistence . Responsible for both the initial identification and placement of tenants as well as providing ongoing support to their operational leaders, this role will champion the perspective of the local entrepreneurs bringing these healthcare amenities to life. To the extent that non-traditional strategic partnerships present themselves, this individual will be empowered to explore where they might be applicable to HHP’s broader corporate strategy in concert with our founding team of the CEO, President and COO (the last of which this role will report to). As we are a largely remote organization, being
