Job Title:Janitor Lakeland, FL

Job Summary:

MOR PPM, Inc. seeks to hire a full time temporary Janitor in Lakeland, FL. A custodian will perform continuous daily heavy cleaning duties to maintain a safe and clean facility. A Janitor will practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures; comply with all customer rules and safety procedures and policies. Must notify managers concerning the need for repairs, slip hazards, or any safety problems as necessitated.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and vacuuming floors.
  • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors. Gathering and emptying trash, including recycling.
  • Cleaning and polishing furniture and fixtures.
  • Servicing, cleaning, and supplying restrooms.
  • Cleaning windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
  • Dusting furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
  • Cleaning laboratory equipment, such as glassware and metal instruments, using solvents, brushes, rags, and power cleaning equipment.
  • Mixing water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
Experience:

Minimum of 6-months relevant experience required.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:
  • Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
  • May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
  • Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
  • Must have full range of motion consistent with age
  • Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
  • Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
  • Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
  • Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
