Job Type Full Time Schedule M-F 8-5 Patients Per Day 16-18 Work Location Outpatient clinic Job Description A Palm Springs, California based clinic is searching for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who is passionate about improving individual and community health. An ideal candidate has experience in outpatient primary care in a community health center. Required Qualifications Current California Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license Nurse Practitioner Certification from either the ANCC or AANP or Certified PA Current DEA licensure Active CPR Certification 1-2 years of NP or PA experience (preferred) Spanish (preferred) Responsibilities Provides quality care to patients of, within the scope of practice outlined by state or federal law and understands the organizations commitment to provide high quality patient care. Must be capable of meeting 80% or more of the established productivity standards. Participates in after hour call as scheduled. Maintains a program of comprehensive health for the family unit, to include preventive medicine, behavioral sciences, and community health. Performs physical examinations and/or preventive health measures to assess and evaluate patient's clinical problems and health care needs. Refers patient to other available services/specialist to meet needs where appropriate.
