Manager - Finance Operations Support

Overview:
The Finance Manager leads financial analysis and related monitoring activities for assigned organization(s). This position also interacts with and provides financial management assistance and support to operations personnel at all levels. Under the direction of the Director of Finance, provides oversight of all financial matters for multiple service line, acute, or ambulatory sites including, but not limited to, operational support, budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, analysis and the monthly close process.
Responsibilities/Job Description:- Develop finance analysts professional skills and ability to understand system interdependencies, promoting a team approach with other areas of Fairview.
- Lead financial analysis and decision support functions for multiple areas and entities.
- Review operational financial performance with management, interpreting and communicating key trends, issues and identifying and implementing necessary actions.
- Engage in planning process by providing timely analysis that informs decisions.
- Help deploy and monitor Fairviews system of internal control, including policies, procedures and practices.
- Represent corporate finance priorities to operations and advocate for operations with corporate finance.
- Evaluate profitability of service lines and cost effectiveness or programs.
- Work with functional experts within finance to assess implications of key actions and market trends on entitys financial structure. Interactions include Revenue Management, Reimbursement, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, etc.
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- Five to seven years of finance experience
- Strong demonstrated leadership and negotiation skills and experience
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with finance and business leaders
- Ability to synthesize financial and operating data into concise and actionable information for financial and non-financial users
- Strong curiosity and results orientation
Preferred
- MBA or CPA
- Healthcare experience
