Responsibilities/ Duties: The role involves developing a profitable portfolio of private and commercial auto business and working closely with line underwriters. Manages and monitors all aspects of underwriting, reviews processes and procedures, and makes improvements as necessary. Must possess analytical skills to analyze data for pricing and rating new and renewal business, as well as to handle high hazard and complex accounts. Must have leadership skills to train and coach the team of underwriters to improve and accelerate performance. Must be a hands-on manager. Qualifications : Seeking an individual proficient in insurance data analysis, with strong negotiation skills, effective communication, and sound decision-making abilities. Requires 5-10 years of underwriting experience, along with any insurance designations such as CPCU, and a bachelor's degree. In-depth understanding of commercial lines products.
