Zixi is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join our expanding team on the East Coast This is a remote role. We are searching for a dynamic, experienced, and highly motivated candidate to be a part of Zixi’s Field Team to provide technical sales support to major broadcasters, content owners and media service providers. This is a technical role that involves working closely with customers to understand their needs, design tailored solutions using Zixi’s technology stack and provide technical expertise and support through the customer engagement lifecycles. You will be a key technical point of contact for customers, helping them achieve their video delivery objectives using Zixi’s innovative solutions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Customer Engagement: Engaging with customers to understand their technical requirements, challenges, and objectives related to video streaming and delivery. This may involve conducting meetings, responding to requests for information (RFI’s), requests for proposals (RFP’s) and having discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Solution Design: Collaborating with customers to analyze and design custom solutions using Zixi’s products and technology. This includes architecting video delivery workflows, selecting appropriate Zixi products and features and integrating them with the customer’s existing infrastructure and video ecosystem. Technical Expertise: Becoming a subject matter expert on Zixi’s technology stack, including its video delivery protocols, software-defined network solutions and management tools. This also requires staying up to date on industry trends and understanding how Zixi’s products can address specific customer needs. Proof of Concept Development: Building and demonstrating proof of concept solutions for customers, showcasing the capabilities of Zixi’s technology, and validating its effectiveness in meeting the customer’s requirements. Customer Support: Providing technical support and guidance to customers during the implementation and deployment phases. Assisting with troubleshooting, configuration, and optimization of Zixi’s solutions to ensure the customer’s video deliver objectives are met. Collaboration: Working closely with Zixi’s sales, product, and engineering teams to provide feedback on customer requirements, product enhancements, and new feature requests. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure successful solution implementation and satisfaction. Industry Advocacy: Actively participates in industry events, conferences, trade shows and webinars to promote Zixi’s technology and solutions. Delivering technical presentations and engaging in discussions to showcase Zixi’s expertise and thought leadership in the video streaming domain. Business Qualifications: 3+ years of demonstrated experience in a Media and Entertainment Business-to-Business environment in technical pre-sales role. Experience in fast growing software company a plus. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong presentation skills. Experience managing Proof of Concept projects and operating independently. Strong experience and interest in teamwork -- collaboration with customers, partners, sales, customer care, product management, and engineering, to reach common goals successfully. Technical Qualifications: B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or related IT field. Ability to demonstrate domain expertise in IP networks with considerable Linux, Windows and Networking hands-on experience and knowledge. Strong knowledge of video delivery, network infrastructure, Internet, CDN, mobile computing, cloud services, security, and virtualization. Strong knowledge of live video workflows for media and broadcast companies including live linear channel and live event contributions and OTT delivery using cloud-based services for content ingest, transcoding, repackaging and delivery. Strong knowledge of video codecs and encapsulation techniques. Extensive experience with cloud software deployments and platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) Demonstrated network troubleshooting skills.
