Senior Accountant

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

  • Oversee accounting team ensuring timely and accurate close.
  • Prepare and maintain reports related to financials and job costing.
  • Maintain financial statements ensuring accuracy and GAAP compliance.
  • Support the leadership team in making strategic forecasting/budgeting decisions and mitigating risk.
  • Support year-end processes including tax filings.
  • Ad-hoc financial and inventory analysis/reporting.

Senior Accountant Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
  • 5 years of progressive accounting experience including prior supervisory responsibility a plus.
  • Manufacturing or construction industry experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, GL functions, and financial statement review/analysis processes.
  • Proficient with ERP systems and MS Office Suite including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Deadline-driven with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
